Some people say that this the same hole which Hazrat Jibrael (a.s) made. But there are two things, that Prohet’s (SAW) burak was tied on Hayt-ul-Burak naming place which is located near to western wall. And 2nd thing is that Prophet’s (SAW) era has passed 1452 years ago.
But from today,1700 years ago, there is a book written by one Francis, where he mentioned about this rock’s hole, he visited Jerusalem from France to see this Heikal and then in his book he mentioned about this hole of the rock.
But this is a weird thing, when we see from this hole, we got to know that there is a cave under this rock and today this cave called “Well of Souls”.
And to visit this cave there is no other way rather than this hole.
About 1000 years ago, it is mentioned about this cave in one of the Persian’s scholars’ books and it’s written in Nasir Khusro’s travelogue that local people told us that on the night of Miraj, this rock rose to go up with Prophet (SAW) but it was stopped, due to the ore rising from the ground, it became crave.
This is a contempt study so we don’t know how true is this.
In 1099 war, when Jerusalem was once again returned to Israel. They tab the rock and the tunnel was built to reach to the crave and a staircase was built in it. Israel called this structure a Templum Domini.
At this time, there is nothing in this sphere except 4 arches. But I want to share an important thing here. I told you about Arc of Covenant was kept here and also, I told you that after 400 years of Suleiman (a.s) Heikal, Bakht Nasar attacked on Jerusalem and destroyed Heikal-e-Suleimani. At that time, the Arc of Covenant was lost. No one knows where was it.
A book was written 2100 years ago, The Book of Maccabees.
This is an important book on Jewish history. It was written in this book that at the time of Bakht Nasr’s attack, Bani Israel’s prophet name was Jermaiyah that time. He is the same prophet we call Armiyah (a.s) in Islam.
According to this book, Hazrat Armiyah (a.s) hide Arc of Covenant in some crave at time of attack, but as we know it was not Well of Souls. But the Well of Souls has a depth in between, as if the earth is going more downwards and it looks like that there is another cave or chamber under well of souls.
Did Hazrat Armiyah (a.s) hide Arc of Covenant in that chamber?
May be YES!!
May be Arc of Covenant is under the cave of Well of Souls, in another cave.
But, this time none of the nation, or country can dig that cave. Digging this cave mean to raise a major issue between 3 big religions of this world or declaring open war between them.
Anyway the 1st temple or Heikal of Hazrat Suleiman (a.s) stood for 400 years. Then it destroyed and built again and stood there for 420 years. And once again it destroyed. In fact, Israelis was already informed about these two disasters.
In Surah Isra (another name is Surah Israel), it is mentioned in Verses 4 – 7, Allah Talaah told in these 4 Verses about Bani Israel’s 2 riots and 2 punishments. If you read these 4 verses carefully, 1000 years history is hidden in it.
“And We warned the Children of Israel in the Scripture, “You will certainly cause corruption in the land twice, and you will become extremely arrogant. 17:4
When the first of the two warnings would come to pass, We would send against you some of Our servants of great might, who would ravage your homes. This would be a warning fulfilled. 17:5
Then ˹after your repentance˺ We would give you the upper hand over them and aid you with wealth and offspring, causing you to outnumber them. 17:6
If you act rightly, it is for your own good, but if you do wrong, it is to your own loss. “And when the second warning would come to pass, your enemies would ˹be left to˺ totally disgrace you and enter that place of worship as they entered it the first time, and utterly destroy whatever would fall into their hands. 17:7
I wonder, only in these 4 verses there is a history of 1000 years.
Allah Taalah telling Jews that we already told you in your book, you will riot twice.
For the 1st time punishment, our servant of great might, who would ravage your homes.
Destruction of the first temple at the hands of Bakht Nasr.
But we will help you.
Construction of the Second Temple after Jews was freed from Babylon.
But then we will change your days and help you. Then you will again do corruption, we will again send our servants who will spoil your looks.
2nd Heikal destroyed by Romans.
It is very important to know about these 2 Heikals. It is not only located at world’s very important place in fact the third temple is yet to be built on same place.
