Part 4

Maybe you people are thinking that 3 parts have been passed but you are still not confirmed who is Zulqarnain. But to know Zulqarnain and his journey, you should know all this history. You can imagine if you are not aware of this history, which was practiced by people for centuries, if without discussing it, we would have gone straight to the identity of Zulqarnain, so most of you will get confused. Someone said that some scholars said that Cyrus was Zulqarnain. Now let us know whom to believe.
So, let me tell you that this is not a kind of story or short journey, I will quickly tell you and move forward. To reach the destination of any series, we should build the logical answers for that purpose. We talk about the current concepts, and to prove them true we have to find evidence in their favor. And if they are to be rejected, arguments are given against them. Until you clear the existing concept, then how can you go ahead and discuss the new concept?

Reason to move forward in series, we need to separate the truth from lies.
A beautiful and final conclusion is reached by following the truth. So have some patience and read this part.

As we told you in the last part Hazrat Khizer (a.s) reached Diyaar-e-Zulmat with Sa’b zul Marasib. On one side we got to know from Wahb bin Munabbih and Ibn Hisham’s account that this Yemeni King means Sa’b zul Marasib could be Zulqarnain, who traveled with Khizer (a.s) to Diyaar-e- -Zulmaat. On the other side, we know from the 13th century Sir John Mandeville said in his book that Diyaar-e-Zulmat is located at the Turkey and Georgia borders. It’s an area of dense forest. Arab people called Diyaar-e-Zulmat. This place always looks dark. But there is a small problem, only this place is not as famous as Diyaar-e-Zulmat. There is another place too which is famous as Diyaar-e-Zulmat where Zul Marasib traveled.

Another location of Diyaar-e-Zulmat is found with two big names. 1st name is Abu Hamid al-Gharnati, and he is a 12th-century Muslim traveler. He traveled to Bulgaria in 1135, where he was told that Diyaar-e-Zulmat was not far away from Yugra name place, the location of the Aran Mountains of Russia.

And the second name is History’s famous traveler Ibn-e-Battuta. He wrote about the same place, Yugra area is Diyaar-e-Zulmat, and he also wanted to travel to this place but he didn’t get the chance, because to reach Yugra we need to take a ride on the vehicle which moves on the ice and it run by the dogs who pull that vehicle chain, and it takes 40 days to reach over there. Means the dog’s sledge.

If you gather all this information about the places, so you feel that the places Zulqarnain visited, you find it in more than one place in the world. Like Diyaar-e-Zulmat, sometimes found its history in Turkey and Georgia. And some time, we found between Yugra’s snowy mountains. But Zulqarnain’s visited places are not found only in mountains and forests.

Let’s move to 14th-century Indonesia and Malaysia. There is a Kingdom in the 14th century in Indonesia and Malaysia, which is called Malacca Kingdom. Today we found the Strait of Malacca by this name. It means the meeting place of two seas.

During the 15th and 16th centuries in Malacca, a book called Sejarah Melayu was written in the local language Malay. This book in Malay language is filled with the history of the Malacca Kingdom. It is written in an excellent style that in 2001 UNESCO involved this in the memory of the world program. That is the book that contains the memories of the world. Now an exciting thing starts here, we have the oldest and most authentic version of this book of May 1612. The name of the prescription is Raffles MS 18. Through this prescription, we got to know the original name, Sulalatus Salatin means Tales of Kings.
This book begins with descriptions of Allah’s gratefulness and definitions and then Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) and his companions’ statements and definitions. And then they discussed Malacca’s. They say that the king who founded the kings in Malacca, whose name was “Maharaja Zulqarnain” and that time those Kings in Indonesia or presented today, according to this book, are from the generation of Zulqarnain.

This book gives an important clue, Zulqarnain’s journey was till ancient Indonesia and Malaysia also. This history does not remain only in the Malacca area.

India’s west coast is called Malabar, because of heavy rain, this place has dense forests and a deep confluence. The language spoken here is called Mala Bari, which also has a collection of stories called Narratives of Zulqarnain. Ancient collections also tell the story of a king who traveled from Malacca to Malabar.

You can imagine that the history of Zulqarnain is found in ancient texts from distant countries.
Until now we assume that Zulqarnain is his name but remember I told you that Zulqarnain’s name has 15 meanings of which one is 2 horns man. Now keep in mind that the question about Zulqarnain was raised by Jews. For Jews, symbolism was very important.

Let me tell you the interesting thing from the Bible. In chapter 8 of the Book of Daniel, an event (a dream) is written about Hazrat Daniyal (a.s).

He said:

I saw that I was standing at Ilam (which means a river in today’s Iran). At this river, a
male sheep was standing there, who has 2 horns.

Both horns were too long and too strong, suddenly this sheep attacked towards the west side and then north and then south side. The force of his blows was so much that no animal could stand before it, neither was able to escape its power.

As soon as I saw, a goat come from the west, He fought the sheep with his horn with all his might. After this dream, Hazrat Daniyal (a.s) said that an Angel told me a dream interpretation that the male sheep you saw were the Kings of Faras and Maiden who would bring destruction everywhere with their power.

What do you understand by this dream of Hazrat Daniyal (a.s)?

Horns have a meaning in themselves. These are a symbol of power. For thousands of years, animals used their horns for their power and fights.
To terrorize other animals, like the Wildebeest animal which uproots trees with small horns to terrorize other animals.

Jews asked questions about Zulqarnain, and horns are important to Jews as a symbol. These horns are used as instruments which they called Shofar.

They create a kind of sound by this Shofar as a symbol of waking the sleeping Jew, a symbol of collecting them by blowing it.

Today, at this time, in Jerusalem’s old Synagogue, A horn is kept at Rabban Yohanan ben Zakkai synagogue.

Jews believe that When the Messiah comes, he will blow into this horn and gather the Jews.

In Jewish, they consider the horns one as the Messiah. The reason to ask about Zulqarnain was to know about their Messiah. The Messiah who solves the difficulties of people. The Messiah who built the wall to save the people from Yajooj and Majooj. And who was that, Messiah?

Hazrat Mujahid (r.a) was Taabieh, and according to him, only four kings have kingdoms in the West, and the East passed in this world. Two of them from Four Kings were non-Muslims meaning Nam rood and Bakht Nasr, and two Kings believed in Allah, Hazrat Suleiman (a.s) and Hazrat Zulqarnain (a.s).

More information is available about Zulqarnain (a.s) in “Tafseer ibn Kaseer” and Al-Azraki’s book “Tareekh-e-Makkah”.

When Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was building the wall of the Kaaba, then Zulqarnain came and asked “What are you doing?”

Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s) replied: “I am building his house by order of Allah”. Zulqarnain was happy after hearing that he was meeting a prophet. According to this book, Zulqarnain also circumambulated Baitullah (Kaaba). Here you keep in mind that the era of Ibrahim (a.s) passed 4250 years ago.

One more information about Zulqarnain mentioned in Al Mustadrak ul Hakim. This information is an event, and it is also mentioned in Imam Al Bayhaqi’s book Dalail ul Nubuwwah.

This is an event, where the Roman emperor of Damishq had shown two of the companions’ pictures of the prophets in silk robes. Those two companions were surprised. They returned and narrated this incident to Hazrat Abu Bakr (r.a). This incident was interesting when the companions asked the Roman King where they got these pictures from.

Hazrat Adam (a.s) prayed to Allah that those who are prophets from their progeny want to see them and then and then these Surahs were revealed to Hazrat Adam (a.s). It was preserved in the treasure of Adam (a.s) which was at the place of the setting sun and then from there these images were taken by Zulqarnain and handed over to Hazrat Daniyal (a.s) and at last, these images reached Damishq’s King. When companions gave the details of this incident to Hazrat Abu Baker (r.a), so he just started crying and supported the incident.

But the thing I wanted to tell you is,
in both these traditions, Zulqarnain a.s meets with both Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s) and Hazrat Daniyal (a.s).  There is a 2000-year difference between these two prophets. So, was Zulqarnain traveling in different regions of the world as well as in two eras? Just remember, one of the Zulqarnain meanings is two eras one. Now at this point, I want to tell you a very important hadith. This Hadith is mentioned in Musnad-e-Ahmed, Ref no is 12755. Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said: Many armies will be sent after me, you should try to go to Khorasan and join the army and go and stay in the city of Maru because Dhul-Qarnain built this city and prayed for its blessings.”

This is very important and I think most of you are not aware of Maru City because, in the past 200 years, there has been nothing there except the ruins.

Today, UNESCO mentions these ruins in the world’s Heritage Sight List. But this place was not always the ruins.

Maru was a very big city in Turkmenistan in some era. Not only in Turkmenistan but it was considered in the greatest cities. Mongols made it ruins in the 12th century. Before it, Maru was the shining city of the Muslim world. Because of Hadith Nabawi (SAW), many Muslim companions made Maru their capital. Saljoq rulers made Maru the capital of the Muslim empire till last.

companion Mamoon Rasheed

Then, the 9th Century’s companion Mamoon Rasheed was the residence of Maru, and the 8th Shia Imam “Imam Raza” also shifted to Maru from Baghdad and then lived there for many years.

You will be surprised after learning this; in the 11th and 12th centuries’ Maru was the biggest city in the world. How we know this, 12th-century Arab geographer Yaqoot al-Hamawi wrote that Maru’s architecture was so fascinating and beautiful and great that one day’s distance from the city began to be seen further he said that the world’s biggest 10 libraries were located in Maru.

This was an era when Maru was the center of science and culture in the Islamic world and the world’s famous poets, musicians, mathematicians, and astronomers used to live in Maru city also all the top educational conferences happened there.

Persian traveler and geographer Al-Istakhri wrote about Maru that in all Muslim Empire’s cities, The most knowledge and most talents were found in the city of Maru.

Now we know by hadith that Zulqarnain developed Maru that’s why after deep research we got to know that Maru was a victory as a Persian empire’s city in the era of Hazrat Umar (R.A) and that time Irani used to live there. Before Irani, The Greeks used to live there but interesting that this city is older than the Greeks because when Hazrat Umar (r.a) conquered this area, there were lots of Buddhist Temples and the world’s old religion Zartosht also made this city a holy city and its name was Meru. They wrote in their book, that Meru is one of the 16 perfect cities that a man came from the sky and made these by his hand.

Now remember, Zartosht is just a historical reference for us but we believe in the hadith that Zulqarnain developed Marv, do you know the meaning that if we reach the beginning of Marv then we can know that Zulqarnain came in which era? After the aggressive research, we got the history of Marv’s beginning days.

expedition of Marv ruins

From 1992 till 2010, the University College of London, Turkmenistan, and England’s archaeologist team did the expedition of Marv ruins. They got to know that Marv was based 4500 years ago, which means in the era of Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s), and now we understand this tradition that how come Zulqarnain (a.s) met Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s) because they both were in the same era.

But a question was raised here, about the wall which Zulqarnain built.

But,

Did Zulqarnain place iron pieces on top of each other to make a blockage?

No.

Zulqarnain asked for iron sheets first, He interlocked them with each other, then gave them air to make them hot even when the iron sheets met each other, and then Zulqarnain used hot copper as a cementin material on it which was a good decision because copper is flexible, so the wall cannot be crashed because of earthquake. Other than this copper coating will also save iron from bad weather. What do you think about this whole procedure that Zulqarnain built an intelligent design, he not only knew the use of copper but also knew the use of iron.

So, now there is a problem.

If Zulqarnain came 4500 years ago, the use of iron in this world started 3,000 years ago. It means Zulqarnain was aware of that technique which was not even started in the world.

We have to think that Zulqarnain appeared 4500 years ago in Hazrat Ibrahim’s era and he also knew the usage of iron, the use of iron had not even started in this world.

Sometimes he travels on a cloud according to Hazrat Ali (r.a) and sometimes According to Kaab bin Ahbar, he reaches the stars. Then his name was found in Arab King to India, Malaysia, and Malacca’s ancient Kingdom. A King who appeared in the whole world, and he had an advanced knowledge of technology, whose name includes history’s 4 kings according to Tabbieh We also know about the kingdom of three kings but a kingship as big and as advanced as Zulqarnain, there is no trace of it in any history of the world.

As you know the hadith that, Maru was developed by Zulqarnain and the man came from the sky.

Do you know the Celtic people of ancient Europe, they didn’t know how to write and read, and What information they had left about themselves was in the form of pictures on stones.

One of the stones which were made by them is in the museum of Paris whose name is The Pillar of Boatmen, they wrote or made pictures on it about the Devta who came from the sky, had two horns on his head, and their name that Devta Karnanoos means two horns one.

In England, where Romans lived in the era of Hazrat Essa (a.s), King Hadrian built 73 miles long, which is still there and named Hadrian’s Wall. It is written in an ancient book of the Roman Empire called Historia Augusta. Hadrian built this wall by getting inspired by the two horns of one man which came from the sky. Inspired by the story of this man he built this wall to Protect the Roman citizens from the wild tribes of the north.

One of the stamps was also found in Pakistan’s Moen jo Daro, which is called the Pashupati seal, a strong bull was fighting with the two-horned man and we got to know from the rest of the Moen jo Daro’s relics that the people of Moen jo Daro believe him as Devta who came from the sky.

In worldwide cultures, you will find many traces of this two-horn man who was believed to be a Messiah from heaven. That’s why among Libya’s priests of the time when Alexander was crowned with the two horns, we mentioned in Chapter 2, So they were trying to give Alexander a similar look

They believe in their greatest Devta and they kept the name Amon means two horns. A Messiah came from the Sun, and who was the friend and savior of the poor.

Here I am telling you the interesting thing, Ancient Egyptian writing called hieroglyphs which we started translating 200 years ago only, Now the hieroglyphs that are written on the walls of the temples and ihrams of ancient Egypt according to Amon. When they were translated, So Amor has been translated as Lord of Creation. Now let me ask What does Lord of Creation mean?

You will answer that ancient Egyptians considered Amor as a God of Creation who created everything, sun, moon, land, etc. But this is a very big translation error. The hieroglyphs translation related to Amon was not Lord of Creation, the correct translation is Lord of Construction. It also means God of creation but the actual meaning gets changed. Not the creator but the builder.

The two-horned man of the ancient Egyptians who came from the sky who was familiar with the art of construction, who taught the Egyptians to build, who was aware of such an advanced stage of construction that Egyptians began to give him the status of a god and named him Amun, meaning two-horned. That’s why in their Hieroglyphs, they have the first Amon’s body color to be painted blue which is the symbol of the sky and wind means he came from the sky, who is aware of construction and Egyptians learned constructions from him. And we all know how advanced the ancient Egyptians were in the art of construction.

An example of the Pyramid of Egypt is in front of you, I believe that the technique of pyramid was learned from the same man who came from the sky and we call him Zulqarnain meaning two-horned one, and ancient Egyptians also called him two-horned one means Amon, one who was aware of art of construction. The one who built a wall with intelligence to stop Yajooj and Majooj, and then who came to be seen as a messiah.

Now, since the Israelites were living in Egypt under the rule of the Pharaohs for 450 years that’s why the Jews of Medina were very well aware of the concept of the two-horned messiah who came from the sky. That’s why they asked this question to Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) What does he know about him? Those people wanted to compete with him on an intelligence level. So, Allah not only answered the Jews but also told the three journeys of Zulqarnain from the sky. After hearing this, of course, the Jews were silent that this had been answered more than our question.

The Zulqarnain came from the sky, came in 2 different eras in this world, came in different parts of this world, and knew the art and secret of the constructions, ancient Egyptians learned the art of constructions from him and that is why they were advanced in constructions that they built the Pyramid of Egyptians. This is the reason that you will not find these Pyramids not only in Egypt but you will see them in the whole world because Zulqarnain did not travel to Egypt only, he traveled the whole world.

Pyramid of Mexico

Pyramid of Cambodia

Pyramid of Egypt

Pyramid of China

Pyramid of China

Pyramid of Sweden

Pyramid of Sweden

Pyramid of Indonesia

Pyramid of Indonesia

You will see the pyramids in the whole world because Zulqarnain traveled the whole world.

Lord of construction, because he is familiar with very advanced stage constructions, he was aware of the technique of the usage of iron. Even when he came to this world, the Iron Age had not even started.

From here I begin the three journeys of King Zulqarnain who came from the sky, where he traveled a different world before us and there, he saw surprising things.

What he saw there, will begin in the next part of this series.
